NBA superstar Steve Nash visits SickKids
NBA superstar Steve Nash scored a slam dunk with patients when he visited SickKids on Friday, August 7.
The Phoenix Suns point guard and two-time NBA MVP was at the Hospital with a film crew for a documentary he’s making in tribute to his hero, Terry Fox.
Fox was a legendary runner from Vancouver who raised millions for cancer research nearly 30 years ago. Nash, who also grew up in British Columbia, considers Fox a role model.
It’s the off-season for Nash, but he took the time to mingle with cancer patients and their families, signing autographs and smiling for photos.
