Learning Disabilities Research Program
For almost 30 years, the Learning Disabilities Research Program (LDRP) of The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) has been collaborating with school boards across the Greater Toronto Area in order to offer remediation for children who have significant reading problems. This program is offered as part of research evaluating the effectiveness of different remedial reading approaches. The programming and curriculum are based on more than 25 years of research on what constitutes effective programming for students with reading disabilities and on current research in the area of reading. Our focus is on providing children with strategic reading tools and enabling them to become independent readers.

What we do
