Videophones

SickKids offers a way for families and friends to stay in touch with patients during their stay at SickKids. Videophones are given to families of patients that are in hospital for one week or longer* through referrals from their Child Life Specialist. One phone is provided for the patient's room and one for the family home.
Videophones require a regular phone line and a three prong wall outlet, to operate. They work just like a regular telephone. A training session will be provided to ensure families are comfortable operating the phones.
There are a limited number of videophones therefore, the families selected will be determined by the Child Life Specialist.
