Faculty Position in Human Genetics/Genomics in Toronto

The Genetics & Genome Biology Program in The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) Research Institute is seeking an exceptional scientist to fill a new faculty position in human genetics/genomics. Individuals with specific expertise in epigenetics, chromatin biology, population genetics, statistical genetics, or genetic epidemiology are particularly encouraged to apply.

Candidates must have a PhD and/or MD, or equivalent degree; have completed significant postdoctoral training; and have an outstanding record of research productivity. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary/start-up package and a faculty appointment in an appropriate academic department of the University of Toronto. The candidate will have access to state of the art core facilities and is expected to establish a strong extramurally-funded research program as well as participate in undergraduate, graduate and post-doctoral training.

The Genetics & Genome Biology Program is based in Canada’s largest paediatric health care and research centre, and is part of the fourth largest biomedical research community in North America. Our 24 program faculty members are internationally-recognized for their achievements in a broad range of basic, translational and clinical research in human and medical genetics.
